It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? (1/26/26)
Happy Monday bookish people!
I blinked and it’s nearly the end of January. Somehow this month has simultaneously felt endless and so short at the same time. Probably because I’m trying to balance doing things I enjoy (reading, puzzles, etc.) and staying updated with the goings-on in the world. It’s a wild rollercoaster for sure. Still, here we are at the end of the month! I’m pretty proud of how I did too.
Let’s see how things are shaping up!
Read Last Week:

In my quest to complete NetGalley books I’ve neglected for too long, I borrowed The Nobody People by Bob Proehl from the library on audio. I’ll be honest, it wasn’t my favorite book. You can see my review at either my Goodreads or my Storygraph account, but it was a 3-star for me. Solid premise, shaky execution.
I was also granted access to the second volume of My Life As An Internet Novel (squeal!) and immediately devoured it. You can find my review for this 4-star read right before this post, but wow did I have a good time with this. The adaptation to graphic novel is going extremely well, and I am so excited for more!
Currently Reading:

I’ve had a weird slump for a bit so I decided to step outside of my norm and start my goal of reading 6 non-fiction books this year. Queue It Came From the Closet: Queer Reflections on Horror. Friends, this is a blast. I am having so much fun listening to it. I’ve been breaking it up by listening to one essay at a time and kind of mulling it over before moving on to the next one. Highly recommend.
Also on my old Netgalley pile was The Harp of Kings by Juliet Marillier, and I’m feeling so sad that I waited so long to read this. It’s really great, and in audio form the cast is stellar. I’m half reading, half listening to this to get back into the Fantasy vibe, and it’s been so enjoyable. I can’t wait to review this.
Reading Next:

Next up is another graphic novel, and I’m so ready for this one. The Tin Can Society has a synopsis that promises long friendships, and what it means to be a person with a disability navigating the world. Early reviews for this are so good, so my hopes are high!
That’s it for me! What are you reading this week?
