Reading in the Time of the Pandemic.
You probably saw this title and already figured out that this post was going to be about me lamenting my lack of reading lately. Hilariously, I’ve actually read more in the last few weeks than I have in a while but they’ve all been audio books. Oh, and pretty much all middle grade. I have a happy place I go to when I’m stressed out, and this is it. It’s odd to me that reading used to be my escape, but now I can’t sit still long enough to read a real book for longer than a few chapters. My…

KPop Friday
Yes friends, I’m back to mowing my way through books! Huzzah! Unfortunately my reviewing skills are shaky and my review of The Ninth House is taking forever. So in the meantime I’m going to give you a glimpse into my other obsession…. KPop music. Yup. You heard that right. Today’s song is from my favorite group, and the one that got me into KPop music, SEVENTEEN! These thirteen guys are highly talented, I tell you what. They compose their own songs, choreograph their own music, and also have weekly shows they put out for their fans. This particular song is…

Groundhog Days
Does anyone have a firm grasp on what day it is anymore? I laughed out loud when I saw this The Awkward Yeti comic because this is exactly how I feel right now. If it weren’t for the fact that I have school to focus on, and doctor’s appointments to keep to, I’m pretty sure I’d be lost. As it stands, I thought yesterday was Sunday for a full half of a day. This new normal is taking some getting used to, even though I’d settled into an okay groove. In case you missed it, I actually posted a review…

Hopping on by.
How are we all holding up friends? I’ll be honest, I’ve reached the point where I keep forgetting what day of the week it is. My only marker is that I have online class once a week, and so that’s how I know that it’s Wednesday. Hahaha. I don’t know what I’m going to do when it changes days. Staying at home seems like such a simple task, but my brain is reaching that marker where it actually misses challenges. So I think it might be time to find a new hobby again. It’s what I do when I’m in…

April Fools?
Yeah, my house isn’t this nice either. Don’t worry. Hahaha. I think while we’re all snug at home our houses may look a little more what I like to call “lived in”. A puzzle here, a coffee mug there, that book you were reading but abandoned (with the page saved just in case) sitting on the couch arm. Yup, cozy. Lived in. Perfectly you. I can’t be the only one out there who feels like these last few weeks have a been a blur. March has felt like a month that extended well beyond its intended 31 days, and yet…

Zen Wishes
Currently very much wishing that I was somewhere as zen as this. I’ve been slowly working my way back into reading. I’m up to about 1 to 2 chapters a night! That’s a big deal, trust me. I’ve also been trying to hone my reviewing skills again. I finished reading a book written by one of my amazing friends, and I want to review it so badly. Every time I sit down and try though, my brain gets all jumbled up. I used to be able to type up a review in a matter of minutes, flawlessly describing every little…
