I first fell in love with her Gemma Doyle trilogy, and then I started following her LiveJournal which furthered my adoration for her. She is a funny lady! Witty, smart, a slight bit childish at times. Yup, perfect! When I read the premise for…

    An Interview with Kersten Hamilton

Kersten Hamilton was born in High Rolls, New Mexico. From the time she was 6 years old, she knew she wanted to be a writer, a poet in particular. She wanted to make word magic and tuck it inside the covers of a book. During her exciting childhood, she accompanied her parents as they tracked caribou and arctic wolves across their homestead in Alaska, caught tree frogs in the swamps of the Pacific Northwest and chased dust devils and rattlesnakes in the desert of New Mexico. Before settling down to have her own children, she worked as a ranch hand…

I also have a new rating system to match my new background! “Keys to My Heart”  Cute yes? I will slowly be changing the icons on my previous reviews but for right now you will definitely…

    Book Review: Howl’s Moving Castle

In the land of Ingary, such things as spells, invisible cloaks, and seven-league boots were everyday things. The Witch of the Waste was another matter. After fifty years of quiet, it was rumored that the Witch was about to terrorize the country again. So when a moving black castle, blowing dark smoke from its four thin turrets, appeared on the horizon, everyone thought it was the Witch. The castle, however, belonged to Wizard Howl, who, it was said, liked to suck the souls of young girls. The Hatter sisters–Sophie, Lettie, and Martha–and all the other girls were warned not to…
