Guest Post – Jennifer DeLucy on “Doing What You Fear Most!”

Please welcome Ms. DeLucy once more! (She’s my one of my favorite people ever…seriously.) She’s sweetly agreed to offer up an inspirational guest post for all you lovely readers out there as part of our challenge. Let’s see what wisdom she has to impart shall we? A Fanatic’s Book Blog asked me to guest post today, and how could I refuse? This is one cool blog. So, I thought about it, and thought about it, and procrastinated till the very last minute, as always, because guest blogs are haaaaard (insert whine here). However, there is something that I love to talk about, and that…

    Book Review: Low Red Moon

Avery Hood is reeling from the loss of her parents–and the fact that she can’t remember what happened to them even though she was there. She’s struggling to adjust to life without them, and to living with her grandmother, when she meets Ben, who isn’t like any guy she’s ever met before. Summer made me a reader.

Picture if you will, a mountainous desert area. Picture a city where public transportation is all but nonexistent.  A city where everything closes at 6pm, and the choices for weekend distraction are “The Mall” or the bowling alley. A place where summer temperatures are rarely are below 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and summer begins in May and ends in September.  Need a visual aid? Well here it is. (Photo Credit) Complete with scrubby brush and pallid Joshua Trees, this rather barren landscape is what I called home for the first 18 years of my life. No I’m not bitter about it, really. Just…
