In which I plan my move to WordPress.

A very short while ago, I decided that I was ready to upgrade from my Blogger space here. I’ve had a blog here in Blogger for an extremely long time, even before I decided to book blog. In all that time I’ve always been missing something. No matter what I do, I just can’t seem to make this space exactly what I want it to be. Long story short? I’m ready to move it on up. So, I purchased my own domain name and my own web host space and I’ll be moving over to WordPress software at the end…

Book Review: Don’t Know Where, Don’t Know When

What a nightmare. Hannah Dias, California Girl with Attitude, and Alex, her laid-back brother, have moved from exciting San Francisco to boring Snipesville, Georgia. Life doesn’t improve when they meet Brandon, a dorky kid who is plotting his escape from the Deep South, and the weird Professor, who has a strange secret. Suddenly, the kids are catapulted thousands of miles and almost seventy years to England during World War Two. They fall into a world of stinging nettles, dragon ladies, bomb blasts, ugly underwear, stinky sandwiches, painful punishments, and non-absorbing toilet paper. They learn so much more than they could…

    Guest Post – A.S. Laing

Today I’m fortunate enough to have the fabulous A.S. Laing stop by my blog for a guest post!  She is the author of Don’t Know Where, Don’t Know When which I very recently had the opportunity to devour and enjoy. I tell you what, this was the most fun I’ve ever had while learning something. Annette’s way of writing is completely fantastic! However I’m posting a review tomorrow, so let’s get down to her fabulous guest post shall we? Let me get one thing straight: I hate the word “educational”. Hate it. It conjures up visions of flash cards, study guides,…

    A little shameless promotion.

However in this case it isn’t self promotion, it’s band promotion! Here are some underground bands I’ve fallen in love with and feel that the world needs to know about. Is it book related?
