    Teaser Tuesdays (8)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following: Grab your current read. Open to a random page. Share two “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! My Teaser: “I had just shut the water off  when I…

Using a Cute Font for Your Sidebar and Post Titles

Happy Monday once again my friends! If you’ll recall, I’m dedicating each Monday to something that YOU, my bloggy friends, want to learn how to do on your blog. This week I know that someone asked how to make their post title and sidebar title fonts cute! *** Now I racked my brain to figure out what the best course of action was. See, this is a fairly HTML heavy item to do to your blog. I know some of you are terrified of HTML, and you shouldn’t feel bad! I once was too. It takes a lot of practice…

    A visit from Valia Lind

Today I am extremely fortunate to have Valia Lind, author of Simplicity, stopping by for a guest post! Please enjoy her amazing post on where her inspiration comes from! Valia…you have the floor. My inspiration:  Life is like ocean waves. One minute you’re up, the next you’re down. We all go through ordeals that try us as individuals. Life is the messy bits of the big pictures. It’s made up of simple things that bring us to the victory that is always at the end.  “The true beauty of a soul is the ability to love the simple things in…

    A quick post.

Saw this movie today and I have only one thing to say.  Awesome! I shan’t get your hopes up. If you love action movies, and if you loved the last few (don’t count the third one I didn’t particularly like it either) then you’ll be happy with this one :). My only advice? See it in 3D. The directors who made this movie paid special attention to the 3D aspect when they were creating the movie, and it shows! I love me some 3D. On a random side note, hello to all my new followers! *waves madly* Every time I…

    A fabulous day!

First off, let me take a quick moment to preach something. No, no it’s not anything religious…it’s just a word of advice. If you have a friend that you ADORE, keep in touch. When I left high school and went off to college, I lost a ton of my so called “friends”. Most of them went off to do their own things, got married, had kids, yadda yadda yadda. Still I had a few really amazing people left in my life and so I made an effort to keep seeing them as often as I could. Then my life took…

I’m sure before I even type this you know who this author is, am I right? Yes my friends, Anastasia Hopcus and her gorgeous hair are visiting A Fanatic’s Book Blog today! If you recall, I LOVED Shadow Hills so very much. You can see my review here. I had the opportunity on this tour to ask her a few questions, so let’s get to the lovely Anastasia’s answers shall we? 1) How did the idea for Shadow Hills first come to fruition? I was interested in writing a YA novel set in a boarding school, but I wanted something…

    Book Review: Crescendo

Nora should have know her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can’t figure out if it’s for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never…
