    A fabulous day!

First off, let me take a quick moment to preach something. No, no it’s not anything religious…it’s just a word of advice. If you have a friend that you ADORE, keep in touch. When I left high school and went off to college, I lost a ton of my so called “friends”. Most of them went off to do their own things, got married, had kids, yadda yadda yadda. Still I had a few really amazing people left in my life and so I made an effort to keep seeing them as often as I could. Then my life took…

    Blog Tour: Shadow Hills

I’m sure before I even type this you know who this author is, am I right? Yes my friends, Anastasia Hopcus and her gorgeous hair are visiting A Fanatic’s Book Blog today! If you recall, I LOVED Shadow Hills so very much. You can see my review here. I had the opportunity on this tour to ask her a few questions, so let’s get to the lovely Anastasia’s answers shall we? 1) How did the idea for Shadow Hills first come to fruition? I was interested in writing a YA novel set in a boarding school, but I wanted something…

Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can’t figure out if it’s for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Children’s Book Review: The Duck Song

The Duck Song book tells the comical story of a persistent duck who pleads for grapes at the most unlikely of places: a lemonade stand. Play the CD that comes with the book, and sing the story as your child reads along. Adults and children alike will delight in listening to the music and reading this book again and again. (From Goodreads) Title: The Duck Song by Bryant Oden Publisher: Flinders Press Pages: Hardcover; 32  Source: Received from publisher for review. Why I chose this: It’s adorable! That is all. My Thoughts: Okay, you know how children are attracted to…

    Blog Button Tutorial

Ah ha! You asked, I help. Here we go! How to make a blog grab button! Step 1: So first off, obviously, you need a button! This can be a picture that you already have, or you can create one using Photoshop, Picasa, Microsoft Paint, or any other program you have on your computer. Here is my button that I made for this tutorial. A good size for a grab button is 150×150, like the one pictured above. You can make it wider or taller if you prefer, but remember that most people have smaller sized sidebars! Step 2: Save…

To Those Who Read What I Write…

Warning: This will be a rather sappy and loving post. If this type of sugary sweetness kills you, well then run for the hills now and don’t look back! You’ve been warned. On what I like to call “Fair Weather Followers”: They exist. I know they do. I close a contest, I loose 4 followers. Even if they win. Odd right? Still I’d trade 100 followers for 1 person who really wants to read what I have to say! So do these people bother me? Nope. Look at how many of you have stuck around this whole time. Have I…

    Mara Purhagen: Researching Past Midnight…

Today I’m pleased to welcome Mara Purnhagen, author of the Past Midnight series, to my blog! I had the opportunity to read and review the first book in the series and I must say, I’m hooked! Mara has been sweet enough to stop by today with a guest post about the research that went into her books. So, without further ado, Mara take it away! My research for the Past Midnight series began purely by accident. I was a college freshman, and at the time, my life revolved around a busy class schedule, not annoying my hyper-sensitive roommate, and finding a…
