It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? (2/9/26)
Happy Monday bookish people!
I meant to come back to the blog last week, but it just didn’t happen. I didn’t realize how much the things going on around me lately were really affecting me until I hit the weekend and completely burnt out. So this last week I took things easy and was kind to myself. I’m feeling more refreshed, and I’m back!
Read Last Week:

Last week I finished up It Came From the Closet and I’m holding my review steady at four stars! I liked some of the essays more than others, and one of the narrators wasn’t my cup of tea, but overall it was a really solid collection! I’d recommend it if you’re a fan of horror movies.
On a whim, I borrowed Solo by Kwame Alexander on audio from the library and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It’s a really short story, and I was honestly kind of sad about that. But the audio version features actual performed versions of the songs in the book and it’s lovely!
Currently Reading:

I’m behind on my reading for our book club, so I’m still making my way through Automatic Noodle by Annalee Newitz. It’s really lovely, although hits pretty hard with its message right now. I’ve had to kind of parcel out the reading. There’s hope here too, and our robot characters are genuinely wonderful.
I also started the audio version of Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins. I’ve been wanting to read this one for a while and I’m finally in a good enough headspace to deal with the tragedy I know is coming. Oh, and come it has. I’ve already teared up once and our brave characters haven’t even entered the arena.
Reading Next:

I’m putting this up next to finish up so I can review it before its release date. I’ve made it through about half of the story so far and it has been enjoyable, but also I long for a hard copy in my hands. There are many letters in this book, that set up the relationship between the “fox” and the “devil” and I yearn to read them on a real page. Soon!
That’s it for me! What are you reading this week?
