Top Ten Tuesday (4/18/23)

Happy Tuesday my lovelies! It’s been quite the day so far, so this post is up later than I would have preferred, but sometimes that’s just the way it is. I haven’t had time to pre-write posts, but I am hoping to do that this weekend! For now, we make due with what we have. So let’s go!

Freebie Day!
*My Top Ten Favorite Stationery Shops*

If there is one thing that I love at the same level as books, it’s STATIONERY. I have a nice hoard of everything from washi tape, to stamps, to waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many stickers. I journal a lot, I have a bunch of penpals all over the world, and I also make it a point to share my hoard when possible. So here are my top stores that I shop from. Maybe you can find something that you love too!

Paper Treat Shop – I would be remiss if I didn’t start here. Mai is one of the nicest shop owners ever, and hand curates her own set of Japanese items that she also loves! You can find all sorts of goodies here, but my favorites are always the adorable sticker sheets and letter sets. If you like Japanese stationery, this is the shop for you!

Meowashi – Another shop that I just adore is Meowashi! Also Japanese stationery (do you sense a theme?) this shop carries a lot of BGM and Mindwave branded items. So if those are your jam, you’ll probably find the newest releases here. I also love how they make their own branded sticker sheets and flakes occasionally which are always adorable.

StickyRiceCo – If you’re looking for cute and functional planner stickers? Look no further! I love that StickyRiceCo makes both matte and sparkle stickers, and that so many of the sheets are perfect for as planner icons. So much fun!

StickyRiceSisters – Looking for your favorite Sanrio characters, or people stickers for journal spreads? StickyRiceSisters has you covered! They carry a ton of Taiwanese stickers, as well as a fair amount of Japanese and Korean stickers as well. When they do restocks, they go BIG. So it’s a lot of fun to wander!

Journal Station – If you’re a stamp lover, you NEED to check out this site. Journal Station sources hard to find in the US stamps, washi, and even planners. What I really like about their site is that you can order things and hold them, so that way you can come back later and add! It saves on shipping, and allows you to get the things you really want right away, without stress.

Jet Pens – Jet Pens is not as small as the companies above, but still small. I love their offerings, which include everything from planners, to clear stamps, to actual fountain pens! If you’re in the US, the shipping cap for free shipping is super reasonable! They also have a super fun YouTube channel where they do reviews, so check them out.

Cute Things From Japan – Look, it’s no secret by now that I obviously love Japanese stationery. If any of the above shops were missing what you were looking for, Cute Things From Japan probably has it! They have the cutest selection of letter writing sets, greeting cards, and usually carry the newest pen releases. If you’re a Sarasa pen fiend? Keep an eye here.

M. Lovewell – I have to give a shout out to one of my favorite So Cal shops, M. Lovewell. I actually visit this shop in person quite often, and now they even have a little annex space in a coffee shop! I buy a lot of my vinyl stickers for my water bottle here, Traveler’s Notebook accessories, and the majority of my greeting cards too. Highly recommend!

The Vintage Stationery Store – Are you more of a classic stationery fan? Love leather bound books, elegant pen rests and wax seals? This is the store for you. Their selection is pretty darn vast, and I often window shop on this site just for the aesthetic of it all.

Kinokuniya – Finally, a lot of love to Kinokuniya. Admittedly they are a huge chain. So I try to shop at the above stores first. But one thing Kinokuniya has a lot of is anime and anime adjacent items. So if you’re a Ghibli fan, or Jujutsu Kaisen is your jam, this is the spot for you.
