Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books of 2022
Happy Tuesday friends! I hope that your New Year’s celebrations were wonderful (or quiet is good too) and that you’re starting this year off well! I’m pretty pleased with easily I slipped into this new year, and how motivated I actually feel this time around. I think it helps that I’m not holding myself to any insane level of productivity. Just moseying along, and hoping that I can keep this fire lit even when it wanes a bit.
But I digress, I’m here to talk about books! So without further ado, here’s this week’s prompt.
Top Ten Books of 2022
Please note that these are in no particular order, because I refuse to choose favorites among these hahaha.
Each one of these books happened at just the perfect time, and every single one of them just had something that made me fall head over heels in love. Tonight We Rule the World changed my perception of the way books about abusive relationship are written. Book Lovers was such a fun escape from the normal romance that I read. Nettle & Bone was full of magic and sass. Legends & Lattes gave me all the feels, and reminded me of my younger self reading Dragonlance books. Under the Whispering Door straight made me cry. I said it.
The list goes on and on, but the fact remains that I loved every second of these reads. I read so many gems this year! My average rating was actually 4-stars for the year, which rarely happens. I think since I’ve been reading more mindfully, I’ve been avoiding a lot of disappointments. But, yes, I’d highly recommend any one of these books if you haven’t read them yet!

I don’t read that many adult books (mostly MG with some YA mixed in), but I’ve been a lot more aware of it since I started working at B&N. There are a few on this list I really need to read – Legends & Lattes, Under the Whispering Door and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. Guess they’re all as good as I hoped!
