Blog Goals for 2022

It’s been quite a while since I’ve actually set blog goals, mainly because I went through a phase where setting any kind of goal just sounded too stressful. Between going back to school, the ongoing pandemic, and working hard to understand my anxiety, I’ve been at max for work done. Still, I do miss setting at least a few intentions for the new year. It gives me something to focus on, and reminds me that this is my space! It can look like, and be, whatever I want it to be. So let’s set some goals, shall we?

Goal #1 – Social Media Balance

It’s so hard to be in the world of the internet and not constantly feel stressed out about how much you’re posting on various social pages. Truthfully, it feels like your voice gets drowned out if you don’t. On the other hand though, I don’t want to ever feel like this is a job. This is a space that I built for myself, and for fellow readers. If I’m bringing you content that you’ll read, that’s all that should matter! So I’m going to strive to find a good balance that I can maintain between those two worlds.

Goal #2 – Blog Interaction

One of the things that I miss most from the beginning days of this blog is interacting with more bloggers! Being on bookstagram has given me more bookish friends, but I miss interacting with fellow content creators. That’s one of the reasons I picked up my “Bookish Spotlight” feature again! I love meeting people who take time to curate content for others, no matter what the platform. So I’m going to continue to push out and find more people to follow as support. We’re a big bookish family!

Goal #3 – More Diverse Reading

Looking at my reading infographic for 2021 made me smile. I’ve done such a good job of branching out and reading more broadly. Still though, I tend to get stuck in a realm where I’m reading a lot of YA and a lot of Fantasy. I’d like to increase the LGBQT+ part of my reading pie chart next year, along with reading more books by POC. Plus I want to tackle at least 4 non-fiction books next year. Hopefully joining the Read Harder challenge will help!

That’s it for me! What are some of your reading goals?
