It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? (5/17/21)

Hello friends, and happy Monday! I am a particularly happy bookworm, because I was able to attend my in-person commencement ceremony for my Master’s Degree on Friday. Thanks to how well we are doing with vaccines here (Thank you SCIENCE!) we were able to have a real commencement, with some necessary adjustments. It was so fun! I still have half of my current class left, and one more after that, but soon I shall have an MSPM. I cannot believe how quickly time flew by. I’m excited!

Anyway, back to books yes? I have actually done some excellent reading the last few weeks, and my reading bug is back in full force! I was browsing new releases the other day without realizing it, and I almost got teary eyed. It feels like a part of myself was dormant for a while, and it’s waking back up. So nice. Ready to see how my reading is going?

Read Last Week:

Last week I actually finished three books which, trust me, shocked me too. Surprisingly, I both started and finished Get a Life, Chloe Brown. I borrowed it from the library as an audiobook on a whim. It was so dang cute! There was no way that it wasn’t getting finished in a few days. I’ll review it soon and ramble at you. Next, I finished my audiobook listen of The House in the Cerulean Sea, which I absolutely ADORED. Review on this soon too, I promise. I also finished, and reviewed, The Perfect Couple by Jackie Kabler. It was a fairly solid thriller!

Currently Reading:

Still working my way through Garden Spells! I’m 2 chapters from the end, but my attention keeps flitting to other books. I’ll probably settle down with this today and finish it up. I borrowed a copy of The Extraordinaries on audio, and it is so fun! It’s a little fast paced as an audiobook, so I may have to opt to borrow a physical copy, but I do love the narrator. So we’ll see! Finally I borrowed a copy of Why We Sleep, ironically, to listen to before bed. It’s honestly fascinating though.

Reading Next:

Next on my list is You Will Remember Me by Hannah Mary McKinnon. I’m on the TLC Book Tours list for this, and so excited about it. It has EXCELLENT reviews and I’m feeling thriller lately. My reader brain is ready to devour this!

That’s it for me! What are you reading this week?

    Congratulations on graduation!!

Chloe Brown was a lot of fun! And I keep hearing great things about The House in the Cerulean Sea – I’ll have to read that one.

Glad you are enjoying your books – hope this week brings more reading fun!

Congratulations on your ceremony! Those classes will be finished before you know it.

Isn’t The House on the Cerulean Sea heart-warming? It made me smile so much. I read it early last summer and it was just what I needed as the pandemic was getting serious.

Sarah Addison Allen is from my hometown and I just love her books. I’ve been to quite a few of her book launches and she’s so sweet and funny.

    Enjoy your week!

Thank you! And yes, T.J. Klune has written a book that is just so sweet. I honestly needed it more than I realized. Happy reading week to you as well!
