I’ve had this song stuck in my head…
For about the last three days. I’m not sure if that’s good, or bad, or if my brain is turning to mush. It could be all three. All I DO know is that you all now are subjected to it. HA! Also I love Maroon 5. That is all.

Want a good scare? Try these!
It’s about that time! Horror movies are a passion of mine, and there’s nothing I love more than the month of October. I’m not the type to stick to only the big budget type of films. No matter what it is, if it has screams, I’m in! Just in time for Halloween, here are some of my favorites that you may or may not have heard of. Enjoy and happy screaming! Trick ‘R Treat (2007) Four interwoven stories that occur on Halloween: An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have…

Warning: Sappiness ahead. Things I’ve realized part 2.
The Phantom Tollbooth first sparked my imagination as a reader. Up until then I had liked books, but after falling into Norton Juster’s world I loved them. Ate them up. Weekly trips to the library saw me bringing home the max 15 books we were allowed to check out at one time, and reading fervently until they were due back. I was officially a bibliophile. Tried and true. From age 8 on, it was a never-ending obsession of mine, and I unashamedly admitted it to everyone. Then I found the book blogging world and decided to try my hand at becoming a…

Ramblings from the sickbed.
No posts last two days = me in bed with a cold, acting like a 5 year old. Yes, I get cranky when I’m sick. I admit it. On the bright side I’ll get a lot of reading done this weekend! I’m armed with meds, books, my laptop and snacks. I’m thinking tomorrow will be a “stay in bed all day” kind of day. What do you all think? Also a quick shout out to my new followers! HI! *waves madly* Nice to kind of sort of meet you, at least in picture form. Feel free to leave comments that…

A call for suggestions.
Hey all! I’m looking for a specific kind of book and I thought why not ask the most bookish people I know? We are all such a huge fountain of knowledge, so I thought maybe you could help me. I am looking for a Middle Grade novel that is already published, hopefully readily available at the library, that deals with tolerance. Any ideas? We have a unit for the 5th graders in a few weeks on tolerance, and I’d love to have something to read for them that will really hit home. I’m open to suggestions! Shoot them my way…

A random post.
I had to share this because it made me giggle like mad. It isn’t important, it may not even be funny to you, but it made me crack up! If you like Jersey Shore….. well, I apologize. New post going up tomorrow! I’m working on getting things scheduled now so there won’t be anymore random bouts of radio silence. Hello to my new followers! Welcome and you rock in advance! The Spooky Swap….it’s baaaack!
YUP IT’S BACK! We had a great turnout last year, and I’m looking forward to an even better one this year. Spread the word, it’s time to do some swapping! Give a package, get a package. That’s the way it works! Think early holiday gifts, or better yet a pick me up for a dreary time of year. No matter what, it’s sure to put a smile on your face! To start, if this is your first swap please make sure to read the General Guidelines for answers to any and all questions you might have. If you get to the…

A hello from the trenches.
Hi all! I know you haven’t seen me around here a lot lately. Blogging has become a bit lower on my priority list, as I finally (FINALLY) picked up an extra job to help with bills. Bright side? More money! Downside? Lots more time spent going back and forth and actually working. I can’t complain, I’m just being honest. Things are finally settling down now that I’m on day 5 of doing both. I’m finding a happy medium between working, chores (include napping here), work related paperwork, and blogging. I think I’m going to go to the old standby of…
