Blog Tour – Interview with Hilari Bell

    1) Welcome Hilari! I always like to start my interviews with a challenge. What color would you say best describes you and why? I’m going to say hazel–a soft, mossy green with gold tints. It’s a very relaxing, mellow color. Not boring, but it’s not going to leap out and assault your eyes. 2) After reading your bio I noticed that you had many books written before you were first published. How did it feel to get that first book published? Amazing, stunning, overwhelming, astonishing…and when my second book sold just a few months later, terrifying. It’s interesting though, people…

    Sorry for the mess.

As I was fixing up my blog yesterday, I managed to mangle something so badly that my whole blog fell to pieces. LOL. A lesson to you my friends, never ever work on your live blog. That being said, this mishmash of a background will be here until I repair the other one and get it up and running! I just wanted to make sure it was easy for you all to read the posts that go up here.

Blog Tour – Book Review: Trickster’s Girl

In the year 2098 America isn’t so different from the USA of today. But, in a post-9/11 security-obssessed world, “secured” doesn’t just refer to borders between countries, it also refer to borders between states. Teenagers still think they know everything, but there is no cure for cancer, as Kelsa knows first-hand from watching her father die. The night Kelsa buries her father, a boy appears. He claims magic is responsible for the health of Earth, but human damage disrupts its flow. The planet is dying. Kelsa has the power to reverse the damage, but first she must accept that magic…

    Ghosts, cookies and tea pots.

With all the movies that they’ve remade lately I keep wondering why no one tackles Poltergeist yet. Then again, even though this movie is circa 1982 it ROCKS! Even the cheesy effects still make my spine tingle. So maybe big bad Hollywood is afraid to tackle this movie. Mess with something people love, cult classic and all that, and you are in deep water if you don’t do it right. I’ve seen this movie coming up on…..40 times now? It still scares the proverbial shite out of me. This house, is clean. The BF and I have been frequenting the Dollar…

New Feature: Plights of the Round Table

First a Blue’s Clues joke, now a historical joke? Yes ma’am and sir. I am full of them! *** I’ve been thinking for a long time about starting a new feature for advice. There are plenty of them out there, and they are all fabulous, but they rely on getting advice from that one person. From the blogger. At work we have something we like to call “OTJ” or “On The Job” on all our meeting agendas. It’s a time for us to put out problems/issues that we’re having, and then have our coworkers give us feedback and advice. Basically…
