Top Ten Tuesday: New-To-Me Authors I Discovered in 2022

Happy Tuesday friends! Here is hoping that your Monday went smoothly, and you’re entering today with an overall good vibe. This is the last week of my current position and so I’m struggling a bit. But next week will smooth things out, and so I’m keeping it positive! Feeling pretty good about how well this blog is going too.

But let’s get down to the prompt for today, shall we? Time to talk about some books!

New-To-Me Authors in 2022

Anna E. Collins – Love At First Spite
I started off the year with a brand-new-to-me author, by way of Love At First Spite, and I had a blast! I’d never read a revenge themed romance, but this one was hilarious.

Violet Morley – Sprinkled in the Stars
Oh man, THIS BOOK. It was sweet, and funny, and STEAMY. If you’re a fan of sapphic romance, Violet Morley deserves a space on your shelf.

Luke Arnold – The Last Smile in Sunder City
Luke Arnold’s gritty, noir style writing was a real treat for me. I love some Fantasy that is on the darker side, and this author hit that spot. I can’t wait for more!

Travis Baldree – Legends & Lattes
Travis Baldree has my heart, friends. This is a cozy Fantasy book, which is the genre I never knew I needed. I crave more. I really do.

Ashley Herring Blake – Delilah Green Doesn’t Care
Ashley Herring Blake GETS contemporary romance. This sapphic love story totally stole my heart, and I’ve already devoured the newest one as well. She is a romance goddess, and I am here for it.

Melissa Ferguson – Meet Me in the Margins
Wow, I read a lot of romance last year. Melissa Ferguson is now a to-watch author for me though because Meet Me in the Margins made me smile so much.

Kasie West – The Distance Between Us
My Discord bestie recommended Kasie West for some light reading, and I happily snatched up the first book my library had. I LOVED it. West’s writing is so masterful. I’m a fan.

Phaedra Patrick – The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper
Phaedra Patrick writes books with real people. Stories that could be about your neighbor, your spouse, or even yourself. This book made me fall so in love that I immediately read a second one. I was not disappointed.

Emily Henry – Book Lovers
Okay yes, I know. Emily Henry is HUGE! But I haven’t yet read one of her books. I picked up Book Lovers on a whim and fell head over heels!

Gabrielle Zevin – Tomorrow, And Tomorrow, And Tomorrow
Rounding out the year, I discovered Gabrielle Zevin and wow am I glad I did. This book made me giggle, it made me nostalgic, and it made me cry. It was beautiful.
