F Is For Friday! Or, the new year starts when?

It’s been a really weird last set of weeks. My husband’s work had a small COVID outbreak, so the two of us have been stuck at home while we wait for his test results to come back. Don’t worry, we both feel okay. It’s more taking about taking care of others and staying home in case we are infected. I haven’t been doing much of anything previous to this, so it doesn’t feel much different except that we can’t even do our own grocery shopping. So here I sit, waiting for a large order from Instacart. Shoutout to all the people who shop for others, deliver food, deliver mail, and just keep us all going while we’re stuck at home.

Anyway, this is my third time participating in “F Is For Friday” and I’m so very ready! Let’s do this!

F – Feature Your Latest Book Obsession

I reviewed this book last week, and I still can’t get over how wonderful it was. If the story itself wasn’t enough, the fact that the audio book was a full cast production is what really sold it for me. This truly belongs on your reading list!

I – Indicate Which Book(s) You Are Looking Forward to Reading This Weekend

Do you remember seeing this last time I put this post up? Well, alas, it is still here. However I’m done with school for a few weeks, and have lots more reading time! So I am determined to finish this up this weekend and get a review written.

F – Favorite Quote of the Week/Day

This has been so hard for me to learn how to do. I always ache to be productive, even when I’m feeling exhausted. Learning to take time to just rest, rest, and rest some more has been so good for me. I hope that you take this to heart too!

F – Five Things You’re Happy or Grateful for this Week

  1. That, despite this odd holiday season, there are still cookies to bake and wonderful seasonal movies to enjoy!
  2. That I have a husband who doesn’t mind doing puzzles with me, and having movie marathons.
  3. That my Fall garden is thriving. Very soon we’ll have freshly grown broccoli to eat!
  4. That I was able to donate a fair amount of my books this week to new homes, where they will be enjoyed. I love spreading bookish love!
  5. That I have all of you, who continue to stop by here and show us love! You keep us doing what we do.

I hope that you all have an absolutely lovely weekend!
