Ramblings

Green things, and what not.

Happy Monday once again friends! Monday’s look a lot different to me since I’ve been home for so long. They mark a new week where time kind of feels like it has no meaning, and yet time continues to march forward. It is the oddest feeling. As of tomorrow I’ll have been home from work for 5 months, and it’s rather surreal. I miss my friends a ton, but I also feel very blessed to be so healthy right now.

Anyway I hope you all don’t mind if I ramble at you a bit. It’s been a weird weekend of ups and downs, and I just feel like telling you all about what I’ve been up to that is not reading.

If you haven’t been around that long, you might not know that I’m a serial hobby switcher hahaha. I’ll pick something up, grow tired of it, and move on to something else. Our house is filled with proof of things I’ve moved on from, and then circled back to, and then moved on from again. Very rarely something will stick though, and gardening has been one of those things. My hubby very sweetly helped me empty out the whole plot of space behind our garage and make a lovely garden space.

Here’s the progression! Mind you I’ve been container gardening up until now, so in ground boxes are a very exciting thing for me!

Yesterday I put seeds down into the boxes, and I’m genuinely excited! I can’t wait to share a picture with you once things start growing. Especially next season when I grow corn! The other benefit of gardening is that I’ve been learning a lot about tons of insects. It’s butterfly season, and we have at least 4 different species in our backyard!

Other than gardening, I’ve been doing a lot of baking, cooking, and am starting to pick cross stitch back up (I told you my hobbies are circular). I’ve been listening to longer audio books as background noise, and am halfway through The Wanderers by Chuck Wendig. It’s actually not too bad overall. Like I said, there are good days and bad days.

What have you all been doing to keep yourselves busy?
