Ramblings

Thoughts on a rainy Thursday.

In Southern California, rain is a major weather event.
Seriously, it makes me laugh out loud every single time. We get wind of a “major” storm headed our way, everyone panics, it rains far less than we expected, and people are disappointed. I, for one, just go with the flow. Ever since I bought one of those plastic bubble umbrellas that people carry around in Japan, my mass transit commute is much more fun in the rain! Although I can’t deny, and I think we all agree, the best place to be on a rainy day is in bed with a book.
The good part about all this rain, is that it’s happily prepping the spot I’m eagerly waiting to put my new garden. I’ve been nurturing seedlings indoors since the end of January, and I expected to be able to put them in the ground already. Well, the weather didn’t agree with me. So I’m waiting, rather impatiently, for the weekend. I bought little pop-up greenhouses, so I can finally get these babies outside!

My little tomato plant babies. *blows kisses* I can’t wait for them to give some amazing tomatoes that I can devour, can, and freeze. It seems so far away, but I know that time is going to fly by and I’ll be posting a picture of full grown plants before you know it!

Last thought this Thursday, is that we’re coming up on our 8 year blogoversary here on HDB! I actually have plans for a giveaway, and a few fun posts, so keep an eye out. That’ll be coming at you in a few weeks :).

Wherever you are, whatever the weather, I hope your day is fabulous! Thanks for reading my ramblings.
