It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? (7/4/16)

Click above to join in the fun! It’s been a really productive reading week, and I’m feeling great! The fact is, I only worked in the office two days last week. So what to do when you’re free with no other commitments? Why, read like crazy of course. I’ve been in the mood to devour books, and that’s what I’ve been doing.

It’s been an interesting mix of reading for me lately. A little MG, a little YA, and a lot of Contemporary for the most part. I guess I’ve kind of needed that lately. Something real to sink my teeth into. The Seventh Wish was absolutely stunning. Kate Messner did a wonderful job of discussing addiction in an MG setting. Secrets, Lies and Scandals I reviewed on Sunday. It was okay, just missing that edge. Life After Juliet I finished this morning, and I’m smitten. Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous.

These two books are next on the list of reviews for this month. Let me tell you, I may have bit off a bit more than I can chew with review books this month. I couldn’t help it, really. There are so many good things coming out! Plus any time a new Gregory Maguire book comes out, I have to read it. It’s necessary.

It’s finally my turn to read this via library loan! I’m pretty excited, because a ton of my bookish friends loved this book. Let’s hope it lives up to all the hype.
