Feature Posts/Weekly Memes

TBR Thursday (9/17/15)

So to slowly get back into the groove of blogging, I’ve decided to participate in some memes! They’re a great way to get some conversation going, and plus I haven’t really finished reading much lately. It’s a travesty… I know.
Sponsored by She Is Too Fond of Books, this is a meme where you spotlight a book off your owned TBR. It can be an ebook, a physical book, or an audio book. Something that you own, but haven’t gotten to. (That’s like, everything… ha!)

Told in Kvothe’s own voice, this is the tale of the magically gifted young man who grows to be the most notorious wizard his world has ever seen. The intimate narrative of his childhood in a troupe of traveling players, his years spent as a near-feral orphan in a crime-ridden city, his daringly brazen yet successful bid to enter a legendary school of magic, and his life as a fugitive after the murder of a king form a gripping coming-of-age story unrivaled in recent literature. A high-action story written with a poet’s hand, The Name of the Wind is a masterpiece that will transport readers into the body and mind of a wizard.

Why I want to read this:
I’m sad to say that I own this in both audio and in paperback. I’ve heard amazing things about Patrick Rothfuss, and this book comes highly recommended. I’ve just never gotten around to it. I want to be swept in an epic fantasy. I just haven’t had time for it yet.
