Books to Watch (5/13/2013)

It seems it has been a few months since I’ve done on of these. No time like the present!
Time to spotlight some books and hopefully add them to your ever growing TBR pile.
So, sit back and relax, while I share with you some books that I am loving/pining for and think you should too.

This edition is dedicated to series books.

OUT NOW

I think the mark of a good series is that it transcends reading levels. Whether you are 9, or 90, the stories still have the power to speak to you and draw you in. This, my friends, is why I am so utterly in love with (and will forever spout praise for) The Jack Blank Series by Matt Myklusch.
With a protagonist who is equal parts brave and vulnerable, I have read and re-read these books multiple times since the first time they were put into my hands. Better yet, I’ve spread them to many other readers out there. This is the only series I’ve ever given a full five star rating to, if that says anything. If you haven’t read these yet, I highly recommend them!
This series is out in its entirety.

COMING SOON

If you haven’t already devoured (and I mean devoured) Throne of Glass, you probably want to get your hands on a copy. Meanwhile I’ll be sitting here impatiently bouncing up and down, waiting for the newest installment in this delicious series, Crown of Midnight.
I suppose soon is a little misleading, as this next gem of a book doesn’t actually hit shelves until August. Nonetheless, I feel like this is going to be an epic series! If Celeana’s character in the first book is any indication, I suspect we can expect a lot of kick-assery and some romance to boot. Mark your calendars friends:
This next book in the series hits shelves August 27, 2013.

So, there you have it.

I guess I cheated a little with Sarah J. Maas as it isn’t a series just yet, but hey, it’s worth it!
Are you adding either of these gorgeous series to your TBR? Have you read them and want to fangirl right along with me? Shout it out in the comments and, as always, thanks for being an awesome reader!
