WRITING REVIEWS: SHORT AND SWEET? OR MORE IN DEPTH?

So, lovely followers, the majority of you out there are bloggers are you not? We read, we process, and then we get down to the business of staring blankly at our keyboards, or otherwise having our fingers fly across them, as we write out our very important feelings on the matter. Reviews are our lifeblood!

I’ve seen bloggers out there who do short and sweet reviews for books that they didn’t particularly care for. I’ve seen others that write paragraphs galore about what they truly loved in a book.
Here on HDB I’m more of a lengthy reviewer. I like to break it down into the different aspects that I really liked, or didn’t like as the case may be, about a book. I try really hard to make it short enough that it won’t put people off from reading it. However I’ve never really been able to effectively review a book in less than a few paragraphs :). I’d love to, but it’s just not me.
Which brings me to my question…
What type of reviewer are you? Long, short, in between? What’s your method of sharing your thoughts on books?
