Wrap Up Posts/Reading Lists

Most Anticipated Books of 2013

Plugging along here on the end of the year wrap up! Today it’s all about the books that I am most looking forward to in 2013. Let me tell you, this was a hard list to create. There are SO many books coming out that I want to read! Still, I promised myself I’d only pick five (*tear*) so here they are.
MOST ANTICIPATED BOOKS OF 2013

Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi (February 5, 2013)

I DEVOURED Shatter Me after picking it up, and ever since then all I’ve wanted is to find out what happens! Juliette is still one of my favorite characters of all time and I fully admit that I want this book so badly I can taste it.
Warner vs. Adam. Juliette vs. herself. What do you do when you can’t touch the person you love most? AH! I need this book so so so much.
Fuse (Pure #2) by Julianna Baggott (February 19, 2013)

Another series book that I’ve dying for ever since I finished the last! Julianna Baggott’s Pure made my pulse race and my heart sing. Dystopian fiction never looked so good! So of course I want to get my hands on the next in the series. Baggott basically demanded it with the ending she wrote. Cliffhanger anyone?

Gritty, gorgeous and dark, this series is what I love in my books!

Destiny, Rewritten by Kathyrn Fitzmaurice (March 1, 2013)

This MG looks completely adorable. Emily has been told that it is her destiny to be just like Emily Dickinson (are you feeling it already?) but she has bigger plans for herself. Then something very special to her is lost and suddenly everything she knows is turned upside down. Destiny is about to be rewritten. Are you feeling it now?

As soon as I saw the blurb for this I knew I’d read it! Emily sounds quirky and wonderful. Bring it on!

When The Stars Threw Down Their Spears (Goblin Wars #3)
by Kersten Hamilton (June 4, 2013)

Okay, yes, I know. Another series book. Truthfully though? This series is all about fantasy, meshed with Celtic mythology and I can’t help but love it! Tyger, Tyger and In The Forests of the Night were both amazing. So amazing in fact that I’ve been chomping at the bit to read the next one and, sadly, it’s been over a year since I last had a taste of this land.

Trust me on this friends, this series is well worth your time.

The Murmurings by Carly Anne West (March 5, 2013)

This book sounds creepy. Deliciously, skin crawlingly creepy! Plus I can’t deny that even the cover makes me want to hide from it. This might be one of those books you face the cover outward on, just to freak people out. Ha.

Anyway I’m excited for this one because I feel like there’s just not enough suspenseful, horror type, YA out there. I have high hopes for Carly Anne West’s book.

Once again, there you have it! It was so difficult to only pick 5. I would’ve loved to put the sequel to Throne of Glass up here, or even the sequel to Mystic City, but sadly both of those don’t have covers yet. Trust me when I say I’m excited for so many books coming out next year.
What are you excited for? Anything special caught your eye?

Check in tomorrow for my 2013 blog goals!
