An Interview with Ivy Devlin

Today I'm fortunate enough to have the lovely Ivy Devlin stopping by to do an interview!

Her debut book, Low Red Moon, releases September 14th and I can attest that it is amazing! My review will be going up tomorrow since I was lucky enough to win an ARC in a contest :).

Psst...Low Red Moon just so happens to be the first prize in our reading challenge....just sayin'!

1) A challenge: Describe Low Red Moon in 10 words or less!
Murder, grief, love--and secrets that could destroy everything.

2) Avery is such a unique name. How do you go about naming your characters?
When I got the idea, I actually thought, "Wow, Avery is going to be dealing with some intense stuff--hey, wait! Avery! YES!" It just fit, you know?

3) What made you choose paranormal fiction as a genre?
I've always loved the story of Little Red Riding Hood, and I thought "What if....?" and went from there. And let's face it, paranormal is awesome!

4) Do you have a favorite character in this book?
I love Avery and Ben SO much, but Renee really snuck her way into my heart as well.

5) Where is your favorite place to write?
My sofa. (!!)

6) What are you reading right now?
Finding Nouf by Zoe Ferraris

7) Random question of the day: A genie offers you three wishes. What do you wish for?
1. All the books I want to show up at my house for free BEFORE they come out (like say, as soon as I hear about them and think "ooh!") for the rest of my life

2. For world peace and an end to poverty

3. For all the wishes I want (Come on! You have to do that!)

8) Will be hearing more from Ben and Avery? Or is there a new project in the works?
I think there will definitely be more in store for Ben and Avery!

Thank you so much Ivy for stopping by! Stop by tomorrow everyone for a review!
